Feb Second 2025

i wanted to share some pics i took of some cedar waxwings and others. The weather was very cold (iirc it was -10c), on the same day (feb 2 2025) got to see an adult bald eagle, plus some hooded mergs, and a single common goldeye (photos are below for all birds). i have been slowly building my bird count over the years, and the goldeneye was on my list for awhile now, so its nice to cross them off.

Jan. 8th, 2025 11:27 pmysabetwordsmithToday the sun came out. The snow is no longer fresh, but now it sparkles, and shadows cast the texture into clear relief. It's a good day for photographing signs of wildlife activity. :D These are from the house yard and along the south side of the house. (See also Midwinter Grove, Savanna, and Back Toward the House.)
