An army of House Finches...

Yesterday was foggy, drizzley and chilly. The House Finches swarmed the Flowering Quince for a bit, chattering loudly. There were a good 3 dozen or so of them at any given time. A random Cardinal and Carolina Wren would show up, but not stick around long. The Wren tried yelling at the Finches, but gave up pretty quickly.

Guess they really like my front porch. Heh.

What a lovely little squadron of birds! Three dozen!

At least. They were hard to count as they kept coming and going, but the bush was full of them, and it's by no means a small bush.
