Upside Down Bird Feeders
Currently I have a small metal tray feeder, a medium-size hopper feeder, and a fairly large fly-through feeder. I also have an upside-down suet feeder, but it doesn't go out until later. Sometimes I hang up whole corncobs.

Date: 2023-09-11 12:36 am (UTC)The most robust ones I've seen are the cage types, but you have to make sure the cage is big enough that the squirrel can't simply reach in and grab the food, and that the feeder is firmly affixed so they can't knock it down.
Baffles work well, if your yard is open enough that the pole or wire is the only access. But the little bastards can jump 12 feet or more, so it's hard to get enough clearance unless you have a huge yard that is mostly grass.
