What are your interests in birds? Pretty much everything. I feed them, watch them, read about them, write about them, garden for them, and occasionally photograph them.
How big is your yard / balcony / etc. if any? My yard is about 2 acres of mixed forest / prairie.
What is your general habitat / climate zone? The surrounding area is farmland, what used to be marshy prairie. Climate zone is currently 6a but used to be 5b.
What do you do to attract birds, if anything? I have a fly-through feeder, hopper feeder, tray feeder, thistle sock, and suet cage. I put out water. I garden for birds and other wildlife.
What are some birds you often see in your area? Sparrows, house finches, starlings, cardinals, goldfinches, Bewick's wrens, great-horned owls, redtail hawks. This year I have red-bellied woodpeckers. Twice I've flushed a bald eagle out of my yard; they seem to like it as a pit stop.
What is your blog like? It's a combination of office and living room.
How active is it? I post daily. See my birdfeeding tag.

What kinds of friends would you like to attract? I'm always interested in finding other nature fans. It's fun to see what's going on in far-flung parts of the world. I like seeing pictures of people's yards or trips.
