Birdfeeding

Today is cloudy and mild.

I fed the birds.  I've seen several sparrows, a mourning dove, and a fox squirrel at the feeders.

EDIT 8/15/23 -- I sprayed weeds in the savanna, prairie garden, and along the street.

EDIT 8/15/23 -- I cut brush in the prairie garden.

EDIT 8/15/23 -- I cut brush along the driveway.

EDIT 8/15/23 -- I cut more brush along the driveway.

EDIT 8/15/23 -- I cut brush in the prairie garden.

EDIT 8/15/23 -- I cut brush along the street.

Cicadas and crickets are singing.

White saw a mourning dove earlier. They try to perch on the cylinder feeder's base and it's always amazing they fit up there.

And something went for the suet, but he didn't know the kind of bird. It's a lot less popular than the other feeder, but it's nice to see someone up there.

I've seen mourning doves in odd places too. Sometimes mine will even eat thistle seed, which is a bit ridiculous for a bird that size.
