Birdfeeding

Today is cloudy, damp, and warm.  It rained last night, first drizzling off and on, then just bucketing down for a while.

I fed the birds.  I've seen several house finches, a lady cardinal, and a male fox squirrel.

EDIT 7/8/23  -- We cut apart the big branches so they can be hauled.

EDIT 7/8/23 -- I dragged the dead branch from beside the driveway to beside the firepit.  I started dragging some pieces of the branch by the street to toss into the brush pile in the ritual meadow.

EDIT 7/8/23 -- I finished clearing the cut branches from near the street.

EDIT 7/8/23 -- I hauled away the pieces of one cut branch from the savanna.

EDIT 7/8/23 -- I hauled away the pieces of the last cut branch from the savanna.  So that's the big stuff done.  \o/

EDIT 7/8/23 -- I raked up leaves and loose twigs from the savanna, then dumped those in the firepit.

EDIT 7/8/23 -- I picked up more sticks to dump in the firepit.

EDIT 7/8/23 -- I cleaned up a basil pot that got knocked over in last night's storm. 

EDIT 7/8/23 -- I broke up the dead branches by the firepit and piled them on.

Fireflies are coming out.
 
As it is getting dark, I am done for the night.
