Birdfeeding

Today is partly cloudy and mild.

I fed the birds. I've seen several house finches.

I put out water for the birds and watered some plants.

EDIT 6/23/23 -- I picked half a bag of mulberries along the south side of the yard.

I flushed a large bird, probably a red-tailed hawk, from one of the trees and I heard a crow overhead.

EDIT 6/23/23 -- I started cutting overhanging branches in the south lot.

EDIT 6/23/23 -- I cut more overhanging branches in the south lot.

I saw a fox squirrel on the hopper feeder, who unusually stayed put instead of running. Hungry damn squirrel.

EDIT 6/23/23 -- I watered the septic garden and plants in the yard by the house.

EDIT 6/23/23 -- I watered the telephone pole garden, wildflower garden, and notch in the prairie garden.

EDIT 6/23/23 -- I watered the oak seedlings, tulip bed and its grass patch.

EDIT 6/23/23 -- I hauled a trolley of cut branches to the ritual meadow.

Fireflies are coming out.

As it is getting dark, I am done for the night.
