Birdfeeding

Today is cloudy and mild.

I fed the birds. I've seen a house finch and a fox squirrel.

EDIT 6/14/23 -- I trimmed grass around the telephone pole garden, so the hollyhocks are more visible.

EDIT 6/14/23 -- I started weeding the septic garden.

Yarrow is blooming pale pink, deep pink, and something that might turn out yellow or orange when the buds open.

EDIT 6/14/23 -- I picked a bag of mulberries along the east edge of the yard.

The first black raspberries are ripening, but as I suspected, they are seedy and sour because there wasn't enough rain earlier.

EDIT 6/14/23 -- I did more weeding in the septic garden.

EDIT 6/14/23 -- I watered plants in the yard by the house.

EDIT 6/14/23 -- I watered plants north of the driveway.

Lots more things are blooming in the notch of the prairie garden -- bachelor's button and cosmos, I think.
