Birdfeeding

Today is sunny and warm.

I fed the birds. I've seen a flock of house finches and a grackle.

EDIT 6/9/23 -- I put out water for the birds and watered the barrel garden.

EDIT 6/9/23 -- I sprayed weeds along the street.

EDIT 6/9/23 -- I picked a bag of mulberries along the east edge of the yard and the south lot.

EDIT 6/9/23 -- I watered the septic garden and plants in the yard by the house.

EDIT 6/9/23 -- I watered the telephone pole garden, wildflower garden, and notch in the prairie garden.

EDIT 6/9/23 -- I watered the oak seedlings, tulip bed and its grass patch.

Fireflies are coming out. :D

As it is now dark, I am done for the night.

They love my yard. I have areas of forest and tall grass to hide in, plus short grass for dancing over. I rarely use pesticides and never anything broadcast, just small areas.

Usually we have more, but this year has been really dry. It drizzled a few nights ago, so that may have brought out more. Before this I've only seen a few of them.
