Birdfeeding

Today is sunny and warm.

I fed the birds.  I've seen a few sparrows.  I heard a blue jay screaming and crows cawing, but didn't see them.

I put out water for the birds and watered a few plants.

EDIT 6/4/23 -- I watered plants in the picnic table garden.

I've seen a fox squirrel above the hopper feeder.

EDIT 6/4/23 -- I hauled a trolley of cut brush to the pile in the ritual meadow.

There was a male cardinal at the hopper feeder.

EDIT 6/4/23 -- I hauled another trolley of cut brush to the pile in the ritual meadow.  I think this is the last of what I cut from the east path so far.

I saw a bird swooping and hovering briefly in the yard.  I think it's an eastern phoebe but could be some other flycatcher.  They are skilled aerialists and can hover to catch insects or build nests.
 
EDIT 6/4/23 -- I finished cutting brush from the east path.  \o/

EDIT 6/4/23 -- I sowed moonflower and cypress vine in assorted places.

EDIT 6/4/23 -- I watered the septic garden and the patio plants.

EDIT 6/4/23 -- I watered the telephone pole garden and wildflower garden.

 

EDIT 6/4/23 -- I watered the oak seedlings, prairie garden notch, tulip bed and its grass patch.

 

As it is now dark, I am done for the night.
