Birdfeeding

Today is sunny and mild.

I haven't fed the birds yet, but I have seen several sparrows and two blue jays in the forest garden.

I planted the pasture rose along the west edge of the savanna.

EDIT 4/26/23 -- I fed the birds and put out water for them. I've seen a flock of sparrows, a flock of mourning doves, and a male cardinal in the forest garden.

I mulched around the pasture rose, then watered that and a bunch of other plants in the savanna.

EDIT 4/26/23 -- I saw three blue jays and a brown thrasher in the forest garden. :D Blue jays often come through in spring and fall, but it's hit or miss whether they stick around for a season.

EDIT 4/26/23 -- I planted the two American plums along the south edge of the savanna and put covers over them.

EDIT 4/26/23 -- We hauled 3 piles of grass to the grass wall.

We saw a large toad in the south lot.

My White Feather hosta is sprouting in the forest garden! :D
