Well, I put out the last little bit of the bird feed I had yesterday.  Maybe just as well, I was starting to get a plague of grackles.  I will continue to water the birds.

The suet feeder still has half a block in it. A male downy woodpecker has decided I am not scary, he does not fly away unless I start to get close.  The others leave as soon as I open the door.

The sparrow army and pair of cardinals that hang around the forsythia are likely very confused today, we chopped that bush back a LOT this morning.  It didn't bloom this year.

My garage security camera captured the perfect image of a titmouse.  I like these guys, so cute.  I think they are nesting in the mulberry just over the properly line.

We have the tufted titmouse as a summer resident, but they don't often come to deeply urban bird feeders. You can see them in state parks, though, particularly when state parks feel it's safe to fill their feeders. They are so dapper.

Logical.

Some of my downies are confident enough to sit in a branch overhead and scream at me to hurry up.

So cute! I haven't seen titmice around here in years, not enough habitat left for them, but my parents still have some.
