Birds

My first bird of 2026 was a Cardinal on Cape Cod, on a brief New Year's getaway. I also saw a Crow but not much else. I'm back home now with usual mix of Blue Jays, House Sparrows and Mourning Doves.

We received another small amount snow New year's Eve and New Year's Day followed by another cold front. It's supposed to warm up by the end of next week.

Yesterday I saw several cardinals chasing each other, and two squirrels. Honestly I was too busy on Jan. 1 to pay much attention outside.

Here it is merely chilly this week and supposed to be less cold next week. Bizarre, but it does mean I can do some yardwork.
