It is a warm Monday in Rhode Island and we expect highs around 90 or above through Wednesday.
This afternoon is 89 but feels like 95.
Today's highlight was 7 Blue Jays feeding on the ground.
I moved my trail feeder closer to the house, since the mosquitos and other bugs are relentless this time of year near the pond and wetlands. Northern Cardinals, Tufted TItmouse and White breasted Nuthatch we all spotted.
I'm still amazed at how many trees we lost during the crazy July 3 thunderstorm. The three closest trails to me have about 5 trees down at each location, many blocking the paths. I have been working on clearing as much as I can, but the city needs to come in with big chainsaws.

Yikes. O_O But so much large downwood! It's great habitat, once you hack out a hole for the path to go through. I've often seen trails with two halves of a big old tree bracketing them.
