First robin fledgling of 2025!

birdfeedingEarlier this morning I was thinking, it's the May long weekend so we should start to see fledglings soon. And look who's dropped by! The first fledgling I've seen in 2025!
This robin fledgling has been hanging out all morning, first on the shed then amongst the tree branches. Its tummy matches the brick. :-D It's surprisingly small compared to its parents, but it is flying and the parents have been by a few times to feed it already.
For context: the two grey squares are bird dots which prevent the birds from flying into our kitchen window. The space between our house and our neighbour's house is a major corridor for birds heading to our back yard feeders and water baths.
