Cloudy, windy but mild today with rain tonight so not too many birds around.
I did hear a House Finch outside my dentist's office.
Yesterday Wood Ducks were back at the local pond!

Wow!
Date: 2025-03-05 09:34 pm (UTC)I find it hilarious that their ducklings need to plummet in order to survive. The drop acts as a jump start. If you're hatching them in an incubator, once they're fluffy and hopping around, you put them in box, hold it over your head, and dump them on the grass. :D Then they will start eating. It's because naturally they nest in hollow trees, so the ducklings have to jump out.
