Very cold Sunday and Monday. It was only 14 degrees this morning.
I heard quite a few Red-winged Blackbirds this morning and saw some Blue Jays, Mourning Doves and House Sparrows.
Mallards and Mute Swans have returned to the half thawed nearby pond.
I hung another seed block at work and there was a Northern Cardinal on it earlier and some Dark-eyed Juncos underneath.

Oh hey, our blackbirds aren't back yet! Last year they came early and were forlornly fluttering around the nearby drainage ditch wondering where their perches were. None of the weeds had really grown up yet.
