Some Grackles, Starlings and House Sparrows around early this morning.

A little warmer today, less windy, it's up to 27 F already.

Afternoon update

I saw a White breasted Nuthatch on a tree in the parking lot at work.

That's cool.

Not much activity here yet, but then again, they drained the hopper feeder and I haven't refilled it yet.

The birds are hungry in this cold weather.

That matches my observations. Some are out foraging in the grass, but a lot of them just hit the reliable food source to stuff their faces as fast as possible. They also get on the suet cakes more aggressively when it's really cold outside, for the fat.
