birdfeedingWednesday 2/19 cold but not as windy this morning.
Many hungry birds spotted earlier - House Sparrow, Blue Jay, Northern Cardinal, Chickadee, WB Nuthatch, WT sparrow, Tufted Titmouse, Red bellied Woodpecker.
I have seen a couple of social media posts on what i suspected - we are having out coldest winter in nearly a decade here in New England.

Date: 2025-02-19 09:29 pm (UTC)Colder-than-usual winters are rare now, and even that stands on a shifting baseline. Colder than the last 10 years is nowhere near colder than the last 30 or 50.
