Birdfeeding

Today is sunny and chilly.

I fed the birds.  I've heard plenty but haven't seen much activity yet.

I put out water for the birds.

The potting soil outdoors is frozen solid.  I may buy a fresh bag so I can pot up the native plant seeds that benefit from a cold phase.  I forgot to check if there's a whole bag outside that I can just lug into the foyer.

EDIT 1/27/25 -- I did a bit of work around the patio.

I put out more water for the birds.  They've been mobbing the birdbaths today.

I've seen a large flock of sparrows, a flock of starlings, and a flock of mourning doves.

EDIT 1/27/25 -- I checked for potting soil.  I don't have a full bag, so I'll need to buy some later.
