I saw a Sharp-shinned Hawk launch an failed attack in my yard this morning.

I also saw a very late Eastern Towhee along the trail. I thought they migrated for the winter, ebird questioned a sighting I posted a few months ago but didn't this time.

The hawk sighting is cool.

I've seen a hawk dive-bomb a large flock of sparrows, miss all of them, narrowly miss the kitchen window, then land on a branch with very huffy "I meant to do that" body language.
