Looking out the door this morning ... Bees? *closer look* Bees! WTF even. The usual rule is that bees don't come out until after all danger of frost is past. But it is mid-freaking-February and there are honeybees all over my patio drinking from shallow puddles of meltwater. I'm like, what do they expect to find this early? Oh hey, the first of my crocus flowers is blooming. And yep, there is a bee in it. Okay then. Clearly I need to plant more early-blooming bulbs to feed my bees.
We made a day trip, and I spotted a pair of bald eagles in a tree. :D 3q3q3q!!!! It's exciting enough to see one, but two together are likely a breeding pair. Which means MOAR EAGLES!
