Newcomers!
Aug. 15th, 2023 11:11 amI've been missing the little birds that used to flock to my feeders, but in the last few days some tits and robins have returned. The jays that have been monopolising the fat balls have not visited for a little while.
And there have been new visitors! I think a pair of thrushes have been feeding—one is a lot chunkier than I would have expected a thrush to be, but as it had approximately a five-course banquet from the fat balls, I suppose it is not surprising. The slenderer partner has been back today, though I haven't been able to discern which of the offerings in the tall cylinder it favours.
Perhaps I shall hear them sing soon.
