Three Weeks for Dreamwidth: Birdwatching

Three Weeks for Dreamwidth runs April 25-May 15. During this time, people post content only visible on Dreamwidth (although it can be reposted elsewhere after the event ends). There's usually a flurry of activity as bloggers share anchor posts, new fiction, icons, banners, questionnaires, friending fests, memes, and other goodies. Community hosts often hold special activities in their communities too. Watch your reading page for more festivities.

This year, I'll be posting about birds in honor of birdfeeding. Last year, I featured hippies. If you are new to this community, we have an Introduction tag and questionnaire that you can use to tell us about yourself.

I also made a blogging questionnaire last year, which people are welcome to use. I'm going to post that on twitter_refugees for the folks who haven't seen it before.

Birdfeeding

Today is cloudy and mild.

I fed the birds. I've seen a flock of sparrows, a brown-headed cowbird, a mourning dove, and several fox squirrels at the hopper feeder or around the yard.

I started clearing sticks from the strip between the forest yard and the street. I didn't get very far before filling the trolley. :/

EDIT 4/25/23 -- I planted 2 nodding onions in the wildflower garden.

EDIT 4/25/23 -- I planted the pussy willow along the west edge of the yard. I got that covered and mulched, and watered it and the nodding onions.

As it is now dark, I am done for the night.
