Birdfeeding

Today is cloudy and mild.  It rained a bit this morning, so everything is still wet.

I fed the birds.  I've seen a flock of house finches and a fox squirrel.  Fool squirrel didn't even run when I opened the door, it was that hungry.

I found a handful of red oak acorns.  It's early in the season so they may not be ripe, but I want to see if I can sprout them.

EDIT 7/31/24 -- I did a bit of work around the patio.

It's a good thing you guys got rain! It feels like we need more, today is supposed to be near 90 degrees.

It's been very humid here. Today was hot but other days were milder.

We've gotten a mix of both here the last few days. And a bad storm today with lots of rain and high winds.

Yikes. It's cloudy here today, but has done no more than spit a few drops of water.
