Birdfeeding

Today is partly sunny, warm and steamy. It's cooler than yesterday though. We got a good soaking rain yesterday and occasional bits of drizzle earlier today. Everything is still wet outside.

I fed the birds. I've seen a flock of house finches and a gray catbird.

I put out fresh water for the birds.

Some of this year's morning glories seem to be pink instead of the usual purple. Interesting.

EDIT 6/26/24 -- I walked around the yard checking on plants.

EDIT 6/26/24 -- I sowed a few more seeds from Towers of Flowers in the prairie garden, since I'm seeing morning glories sprout there but little else.

EDIT 6/26/24 -- I watered the new seeds.

EDIT 6/26/24 -- I sowed some Monarch Butterfly Wildflower Seed Mix in the septic garden, also trying to patch gaps there.

The first of the volunteer gladioli is blooming red with white edges in the septic garden.  The first of the tomatoes is turning orange too.  :D

I've seen a pair of mourning doves in the fly-through feeder.

EDIT 6/26/24 -- I did a bit more work around the patio.

EDIT 6/26/24 -- I went out to watch fireflies.  There are more tonight after the recent rain.

As it is now dark, I am done for the night.
