Birdfeeding

Today is mostly sunny and warm.

I fed the birds.  I've seen several house finches.

The chipper-shredder has arrived, but without the correct parts to assemble it.  >_<

EDIT 5/31/24 -- We spend a good chunk of the afternoon just working to drag the damn chipper out of the driveway so the car could get out.

EDIT 5/31/24 -- I spread a medium bucket of potting soil on the septic garden. Then I sowed mountain mint and butterfly weed.

EDIT 5/31/24 -- I put out water for the birds.

EDIT 5/31/24 -- We wasted the rest of the day wrangling with the chipper and never got the damn thing assembled or into the house.

As it is now dark, I am done for the night.

Annoying! I have a teenie electric chipper and even it is worth it.

The chipper side of ours will handle branches up to 4" wide. Realistically, anything more than about 2" we would probably rather cut into kindling or fuel for the woodstove, or use in the firepit for bonfires. But it's nice to have wiggle room.
