Birdfeeding

Today is partly sunny and already quite warm.

I haven't fed the birds yet. I've seen a male house finch and a robin.

I put out the plants that are still in pots so the could get some sun, and watered them.

EDIT 5/20/24 -- I watered more plants.

EDIT 5/20/24 -- I cleared a space in the septic garden to sow cypress vine, but that's as far as I got.

EDIT 5/20/24 -- I dumped a bucket of compost in the septic garden and sowed cypress vine seeds.

EDIT 5/20/24 -- I fed the birds. I've seen a pair of house finches feeding each other. <3 courtship behavior.

I sowed more cypress vine seeds in the septic garden and the telephone pole garden. I don't know if these will grow, since they're seeds I saved from last year. Some plants save well and others don't.

I found a patch of volunteer sunflower sprouts beside the septic garden. :D

EDIT 5/20/24 -- I cut grass around a spot where I'll plant a black raspberry along the edge of the prairie garden.

The other black raspberries nearby already have green fruit. The first of the mulberries are ripening. It's way early.

The white penstemon from last year is blooming in the wildflower garden. \o/

EDIT 5/20/24 -- I planted the 'Ohio's Treasure' black raspberry at the edge of the prairie garden and covered it.

EDIT 5/20/24 -- I cleared a space at the edge of the ritual meadow to plant the gold raspberry.

EDIT 5/20/24 -- I planted the 'Double Gold' raspberry at the edge of the ritual meadow and covered it.

EDIT 5/20/24 -- I put mulch around the two raspberries that I planted earlier.

I've heard a bluejay screaming but haven't seen it.

EDIT 5/20/24 -- I watered plants.

As it is getting dark, I am done for the night.
