Birdfeeding

birdfeedingToday is partly cloudy and cool. We got a good soaking rain last night. There are floodles in some fields.
I fed the birds. I've seen several house finches and a pair of cardinals.
While we were out, I saw two nearby yards, one with 4-6 purple martin houses and another with 2 houses, both yards having resident flocks of dark little birds swarming the houses, so I surmise those were purple martins. :D They're supposed to be found in this area, and plenty of folks have houses for them, but this was the first time I can remember actually seeing the birds.
