birdfeedingYesterday my order arrived from Spring Hill Nursery. Today I opened the box, as the wind has died down enough to make planting things feasible.
Bluebells and trillium are native wildflowers. Mock orange is a fragrant shrub that attracts pollinators. Red peony will go under the fly-through birdfeeder; I have white peonies and hope to get some other colors going.

This purple trillium variety grows unbranched, begins growing right towards the end of winter, and becomes one of the early harbingers of spring.
