Birdfeeding

Today is sunny and quite warm.  Flowers are open, bees are buzzing, birds are singing.  I saw a red admiral butterfly on the lilacs.  :D

I fed the birds.  I've seen several but not close enough to identify.

I raked up one of the leaf piles in the ritual meadow and dumped it over an oak seedling.  Several of those are starting to leaf out now.

EDIT 4/15/24 -- I raked up the other leaf pile in the ritual meadow and dumped it over an oak seedling.  So those spots are mowable now.  \o/

I spotted my red-winged blackbirds!  They're hanging out in the trees around the ritual meadow.  I love their cheerful songs.

EDIT 4/15/24 -- I topped up the white trough pot with potting soil and sowed it with Shithouse Marigold seeds.

I've seen a lady cardinal at the hopper feeder.

EDIT 4/15/24 -- I topped up one of the herb troughs, but haven't planted anything there yet.  I also filled a pot and sowed it with seeds from last year's short yellow and orange marigolds.

EDIT 4/15/24 -- I filled a pot and sowed some Crackerjack marigolds.
 
As it is getting dark, I am done for the night.
