Photos: Spring Flowers

I took some pictures of spring flowers in the yard today.


Celandine poppy is sprouting in the forest garden.




Bluebells are sprouting in the forest garden.




Flowers are blooming around the contorta willow tree.




The first of the blue grape hyacinths is budding.




Flowers are blooming around the maple tree.




Daffodils are blooming under the maple tree.




The septic garden is leafing out.




Yarrow is sprouting in the septic garden.




Forsythia is blooming along the west edge of the yard.




The wagonwheel garden has flowers blooming.




Yellow dwarf iris is blooming in the wagonwheel garden.




The prairie garden is starting to show some green.




Lots of things are sprouting in the tulip bed.




The pink shoots are peonies.




Light blue dwarf iris is blooming in the tulip bed.




Purple dwarf iris is blooming in the tulip bed.




The daffodil bed is beginning to bloom.

These are so great, thanks for posting them. It's just as well that I continue to have only snowdrops, along with rosettes of dame's rocket, motherwort, and (argh) creeping bellflower; but it's nice to see what's happening further south.

Mine are winding down, just a few flowers left.

That one grows wild but not in my yard, and blooms later here.

I'm trying to get rid of mine, it spread everywhere. >_<
