We're expecting rain/snow later this morning, so I was outside just after dawn sprinkling some ice melt on our large amount of sidewalks. I let my Merlin sound ID run while working, and have registered two new birds. I knew they were around but they haven't been caught by the app before.
Tufted titmouse
Mockingbird
The usual suspects: house sparrows, cardinals, jays, robins, starlings, mourning dove. The dove didn't flee as quickly this morning. Usually they are gone the second I open the door, but eyed me from the food dish while I watched from the porch for a minute.
