Birdfeeding

Today is cloudy, chilly, and wet.  It's been raining off and on.

I fed the birds.  I haven't seen any activity today.  I think everything is sensibly huddled somewhere out of the rain.

It stopped raining here this morning.

My parents wanted to give birdseed as my gift, so I just put out the suet and will get the feeders tomorrow.

Suet should be popular this time of year. I just haven't put it out because I haven't seen any woodpeckers and don't feel like spoiling sparrows.

I've heard the northern flickers recently. I don't really see the downies but they live very nearby. They were the first to find the suet last year.
