Birdfeeding

birdfeedingToday is sunny and hot.
I fed the birds. I've seen a small flock of house finches and two fox squirrels.
The columbine in the rain garden has a flower bud showing, months later than usual, probably because it's a new plant from this spring.
EDIT 7/4/23 -- I went outside for a bit of a walk. It's still too steamy out to stay long.
I've seen a gray catbird at the hopper feeder and a lady cardinal in the fly-through feeder.
The first of the blackberry lilies is blooming in the prairie garden.
