Birdfeeding

birdfeedingToday is sunny and warm.
I fed the birds. I've seen a flock of sparrows, several mourning doves, and a pair of house finches.
I started shoveling out the firepit and removed the layer of dry fluffy ashes. I want to scrape out some of the lower, wetter stuff too.
EDIT 4/9/23 -- I shoveled out the lower layer of ash from the firepit.
EDIT 4/9/23 -- I started building the core for the next fire. I like to make sort of a log-cabin shape to preserve air flow in the middle, and stuff some tinder in the chimney to help it light.
EDIT 4/9/23 -- I hauled some dead branches to the ritual meadow and started breaking them up to expand the core of the fire.
