trash swan!

birdfeedingToday I was walking down by the brook and there was a little trash island made of sticks and detritus and coke bottles and a half deflated soccer ball, and a swan was settled there in a glorious stick nest circlet raised from this little driftwood/garbage raft. It was very serene and sleepy, totally ignoring the starlings and blue jays.
