Birdfeeding
Jan. 6th, 2025 02:13 pmToday is cloudy and cold. Yesterday it snowed several inches.
I haven't fed the birds yet. They're swarming the feeders, though. I've seen a large flock of sparrows, a flock of mourning doves, several starlings, two male cardinals and a pair.
I walked around the yard taking pictures.
EDIT 1/6/24 -- I fed the birds. They're still swarming. I've seen a small flock of cardinals. :D
I put out water for the birds.
EDIT 1/6/24 -- I did a bit of work around the patio.
I put out more water for the birds. I've seen a tufted titmouse plus dark-eyed junco, probably a male, and the one I spotted while taking pictures was likely a female.
I also planted a few cactus seeds that I found while sorting seeds yesterday, a partial packet now emptied into the dish where I have a couple of cacti growing.
I am done for the night.
