Birdfeeding

Today is cloudy, cool, and wet. It rained last night and today. We would have had a white Christmas, if the weather had been 20°F cooler -- it's been in the 40s. :/ It's nice to avoid snow and ice on the roads, but there's something sad about missing a Christmas snow.

I put down groundcloth around the hollies.

EDIT 12/25/24 -- I spread mulch over the groundcloth. I'll probably need to add more later, but at least this is a good start.

EDIT 12/25/24 -- I fed the birds. I've seen a large flock of sparrows, a male and a female cardinal separately, a tufted titmouse, a mourning dove, a downy woodpecker, and two fox squirrels.

EDIT 12/25/24 -- I did a bit of work around the patio.

I put out a new peanut suet cake.

I am done for the night.
