Birdfeeding

Today is cloudy and chilly. 

I haven't fed the birds yet.  I've seen a flock of sparrows, a tufted titmouse, and a goldfinch.

My partner Doug raked up the leaves from the first quadrant of  the ritual meadow nearest the south gate.   

I hauled 6 trolleys of leaves to dump on the daffodil bed.  That's most of the big pile.  Additional leaves will be used to mulch oak seedlings, which like a leaf mulch.

EDIT 12/10/24 -- I fed the birds.

EDIT 12/10/24 -- I did a bit of work around the patio.

I put out water for the birds.

EDIT 12/10/24 -- I hauled 2 trolleys of leaves to mulch the oak sapling in the savanna, then 2 more to mulch the westernmost of the oak seedlings in the memorial grove there.

As it is getting dark, I am done for the night.
