Birdfeeding

Today is sunny and mild, a beautiful fall day.
I fed the birds. I"ve seen a flock of house finches, a bluejay, and Nipple Squirrel. :D I really hope that some of the bluejays will decide to stick around for the winter. Every fall and spring, the birds seem to shuffle the deck, and -- aside from regulars like the cardinals -- I get a random assortment of locally available species.
I put out water for the birds and watered a few plants.
EDIT 10/2/24 -- We broke up the big green branch in the ritual meadow.
EDIT 10/2/24 -- I did a bit of work around the patio.
EDIT 10/2/24 -- I watered the patio plants, picnic table, and septic garden.
EDIT 10/2/24 -- I watered the seedlings in the savanna, patch in the prairie garden, telephone pole garden, and grass patch.
One of the oak seedlings is starting to turn red. :D
As it is almost suppertime, I am done for the night.
