Birdfeeding

Today is mostly sunny and mild, a beautiful summer day. :D

I fed the birds. I've seen a small flock of house finches, a lady cardinal, and a gray squirrel.

I put out water for the birds and watered a few plants.

EDIT 8/10/24 -- I took pictures around the yard.

The first of the zinnias are blooming in the monarch strip, and several more in the notch of the prairie garden.  I saw a flock of house finches and a squirrel at the hopper feeder, and tried shooting those too.

EDIT 8/10/24 -- I pulled weeds around the birdgift tree.

EDIT 8/10/24 -- I pulled more weeds around the birdgift tree.  I spotted a hosta blooming and tried taking a few pictures, although the light is fading so I'm not sure they'll turn out.

EDIT 8/10/24 -- I watered the patio plants, picnic table, and septic garden.

Four o'clocks are blooming in the septic garden.  :D

EDIT 8/10/24 -- I watered the seedlings in the savanna, telephone pole garden, and grass patch.

I saw a bat swooping over the driveway.

As it is now dark, I am done for the night.
