Birdfeeding

Today is sunny, breezy, and mild.

I haven't fed the birds yet.  I've seen a male house finch at the hopper feeder.

We walked around the savanna to decide where to mow paths through it.  I need to pick up sticks there first.

EDIT 5/11/24 -- I did some stick pickup in the savanna to clear paths for mowing.

EDIT 5/11/24 -- I planted 5 Heuchera Mixture in the forest garden.
 
More of the house yard has been mowed.  We walked around to see that.

EDIT 5/11/24 -- I fed the birds.  I've seen several more house finches.  A flock of blackbirds is foraging the just-mowed grass.

I put out water for the birds and water a few plants.

EDIT 5/11/24 -- I planted a red yarrow in the wildflower garden.

EDIT 5/11/24 -- I planted a yellow-and-white coreopsis and a purple aster in the wildflower garden.

EDIT 5/11/24 -- I planted a white pot that has a flower pattern with a 'Night Sky' petunia (which is purple with white spots), a white petunia, a 'Dusty Miller' artemesia, and two lavender alyssum.

Savanna paths have been mowed, prairie garden paths and ritual meadow re-mowed.  We walked around to see those.

EDIT 5/11/24 -- I planted a yellow blanketflower and a 'Husker Red' penstemon in the wildflower garden.

EDIT 5/11/24 -- I planted a mauve pot with 4 small-flowered and one large-flowered moss rose, all in shades of bright pink.

EDIT 5/11/24 -- I planted a pearl-finished pot with a purple-and-white ruffled petunia, a white petunia, a 'Dusty Miller' artemesia, and two white alyssum.

EDIT 5/11/24 -- I watered the newly planted things.

As it is now dark, I am done for the night.
