Today is sunny and chilly, but a nice day for fall yardwork.

I haven't fed the birds yet, but I  have seen a flock of sparrows at the fly-through feeder and two house finches at the hopper feeder.  :D  I figured the colder weather would bring them to the easy eats.

I have resumed planting plain and mixed daffodils along the inside edge of the west hedge in the savanna.  Still lots left to do there.

Most of the flowers in the tulip bed have died off.  I have compost to spread on that and the daffodil bed eventually.  Most of the flowers have died off in the prairie garden too.  The goldenrod has gone to seed.  The sunchoke tops are brown -- which means the tubers are set, should I ever have time to dig up some for the kitchen.

EDIT 11/1/23 -- I fed the birds.

I put out water for the birds and watered a few plants.

EDIT 11/1/23 -- I planted more daffodils along the west hedge.
