Birdfeeding
Jul. 6th, 2023 03:03 pmToday is sunny, breezy, and warm. It rained again yesterday.
I fed the birds. Lots of house finches again, and a lady cardinal.
The columbine is blooming purple and white. :D
EDIT 7/6/23 -- I walked around the yard taking pictures.
EDIT 7/6/23 -- I trimmed grass around the support wire.
EDIT 7/6/23 -- I trimmed grass around the telephone pole garden.
EDIT 7/6/23 -- I trimmed grass around the goddess garden.
EDIT 7/6/23 -- I trimmed grass around the apricot tree that holds the fly-through feeder. That's it for trimming today, though, my hands are wearing out. If I get back outside, I'll have to pick a different task.
EDIT 7/6/23 -- I picked up a trolley of sticks from the yard by the house, and dumped that in the firepit.
There are still several branches too big to haul away -- two in the savanna and one along the street.
EDIT 7/6/23 -- I picked up a trolley of sticks from the south lot and along the street, then dumped that in the firepit.
All around us the corn is tasseling, pollen heavy on the breeze, a golden buttery smell.
Fireflies are coming out, lots of them enjoying the warm wet weather.
As it is now getting dark, I am done for the night.
