Birdfeeding

Today is partly sunny and hot.
I fed the birds. I've seen a grackle and a few sparrows. When I went outside, I flushed a big brown bird from the tall trees, possibly an owl or a hawk but I didn't get a good look at it.
I put out water for the birds and watered a few plants.
EDIT 6/1/23 -- I started cutting brush along the east path of the yard.
I saw an ebony jewelwing damselfly. Damselflies and dragonflies are common here -- probably reproducing in the nearby drainage ditch, and attracted to my yard for its generous population of insects.
EDIT 6/1/23 -- I cut more brush along the east path.
Pie cherries look ripe. Some mulberries are ripening. I may try picking some later.
EDIT 6/1/23 -- I tried picking cherries but only one came off, so I'll have to try them again later. I picked a baggie of mulberries along the east edge of the yard.
EDIT 6/1/23 -- I cut more brush along the east path.
EDIT 6/1/23 -- I watered the septic garden and plants in the yard by the house.
I saw a flock of house finches in the fly-through feeder.
EDIT 6/1/23 -- I watered the telephone pole garden, wildflower garden, and notch in the prairie garden.
EDIT 6/1/23 -- I watered the oak seedlings, tulip garden and its grass patch.
Wild strawberries are ripening in the prairie garden, and I picked a few to eat.
