Birdfeeding

Today is partly sunny and mild.

I fed the birds.  I've seen a flock of house finches, a mourning dove, and a blackbird.

I carried the plants outside for sun and water.

We've bought another bag of Evergreen Potting Soil, which is excellent, and Evergreen Compost and Manure which feels light and fluffy.

EDIT 5/18/23 -- I started weeding around the hole by the barrel garden that we need to cover.

EDIT 5/18/23 -- I finished the weeding around the hole.

EDIT 5/18/23 -- We tried to cover the hole, but 1) the cap is now broken in two pieces and 2) is also too small despite measuring.  *headdesk*  So we put the pieces over most of it and the old plastic cover over the rest.

EDIT 5/18/23 -- I potted up some petunias.  I put some of the Evergreen compost on the tulip bed -- this is also excellent, light and fluffy with a dark rich color.  :D

I've seen a fox squirrel on the hopper feeder.

EDIT 5/18/23 -- I planted 3 violet-and-white torenia and 7 pansies in shades of purple in the tulip garden.

EDIT 5/18/23 -- I brought the plants back indoors.  I sowed grass seed on a bare patch near the driveway.

As it is now dark, I am done for the night.
