Birdfeeding

ysabetwordsmithToday is mostly sunny and cool.
I fed the birds. I've seen a flock of sparrows, a pair of cardinals, a male downy woodpecker, a starling, and a fox squirrel.
The ground is soft enough that I managed to plant the first 2 of 5 pawpaw seeds. \o/ Winter planting is listed as an option for this species, so I'm trying it.
EDIT 2/10/23 -- I planted 3 more pawpaw seeds. In the process, I discovered that there are 2 extra seeds in the packet. :D I love working with small nurseries, you never know when they'll throw in a little extra. So I am not actually done planting these.
I spotted naked ladies and daylilies sprouting around the dry fishpond. Poppies are starting to show amongst the grass too.
