Birdfeeding

Today started out cloudy, snowflaked a bit, graupelled a bit, and is now partly sunny. Go figure.
I fed the birds. I've seen a flock of sparrows and a pair of cardinals. I heard a woodpecker squeaking but didn't see it .
Yesterday when we were out, we saw a lot of geese flying. There was one massive wing that looked like a whole river delta and had maybe a hundred birds in it.
EDIT 1/27/23 -- I saw several mourning doves in the birdgift tree near the fly-through feeder. While walking outside, I heard geese bedding down for the night and saw them flapping a bit as they settled in the fields. Sleepy geese make sort of a wheedling, twittering sound rather than the loud navigational honks.
