Birdfeeding

Today is sunny and mild. It drizzled briefly yesterday.

I fed the birds. I've seen a large flock of house finches, a lady cardinal, and a fox squirrel.

I put out water for the birds and watered a few plants.

EDIT 8/18/24 -- I started planting purple and white 'King of Stripes' crocus and solid purple 'Flower Record' crocus around the edge of the purple-and-white garden.

EDIT 8/18/24 -- I fiinished planting crocus around the purple-and-white garden. I didn't get quite all the way around, because I was planting in clusters of 3 (alternating colors) for a more natural look. I'll need to get another bag. But I have finished planting everything from that batch! \o/

EDIT 8/18/24 -- I watered the newly planted crocus.

I did a bit of work around the patio.

I've seen two mourning doves, one in the fly-through feeder and one under the hopper feeder. I also saw a brown thrasher and a male cardinal in the fly-through feeder.

We plan to watch a movie over supper, so I'm done for the night.
